SPEAKER_01

Hey everyone, this is uh TNZ Sports on a Thursday evening. Uh hot off the press of uh NFL 2026 uh NFL season release. Uh everyone has everybody's team has dropped their schedule, uh making plans to probably go to a game or uh just getting ready, getting hopeful for whatever this year may bring on the schedule. It's uh for some teams it can be, man, it's a murderous row having to truck through this uh season, or hey, it's easy pickings. But um just looking uh tonight we're just gonna be kind of giving our thoughts about uh what sticks out to us uh as the season as the schedule has dropped. Uh we're just gonna give you our thoughts about uh what we s we've seen so far, and then um we're gonna look at something that we uh posted earlier this week and uh we're just gonna kick this thing off. We're gonna start I think we're gonna just gonna start with um our respective teams, uh looking at our schedules. I know uh last year we knew who we were gonna play, but we just didn't know when they were gonna play. So now everything is set. Um I'm just gonna hand the ball off to you, Tyler. Um looking at your Tennessee Titans, uh what kind of jumped out at you at first? Do you feel like the league gave you guys kind of the middle of the pack, a hard schedule or an easy schedule?

SPEAKER_00

I wouldn't say it's too hard, but we have some difficult ones. But what really jumped out at me first was no primetime games. Again, second year in a row. Could at least give us a Thursday night game. Usually put they put all the crappy teams on Thursday night. I'll take that. I mean, it's a good thing I have the ticket so I I can watch them. Um other you know, there's five teams that I think at primetime Jets, Vegas, Arizona, Miami. Uh so before I get into my schedule, I just want to say NFL needs to get together. At least one everybody needs a primetime game. At least one. Uh Jets. I'm just gonna finish there. Everybody needs at least one primetime game. I don't want to say all these teams suck. But one team that did jump out at me is that maybe they if they say that these teams don't deserve a primetime game. So if one team to me that jumps out that does not deserve one, it's Arizona.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Arizona does not deserve one.

SPEAKER_01

They don't have nobody. Uh they got Jameer uh Jeremiah Love, and then that's about it. If uh I was about to say they're probably just trying to sell some more jersey tick uh jersey sales and get some tickets for that. Um maybe they're just trying to show him off a little bit, because outside the quarterback, maybe it's Carson Beck, but for the most part, I think it's gonna be Jacobi Brissett. But maybe that's why they picked them, because they might be better than what people possibly have. But yeah, I get it. I think every team should at least get a Sunday night, Monday night, or Thursday night game at least, at least one, just to kind of uh debut some of these not big market teams, because Nashville is a is a big city. They're about to debut a new stadium. When is it? Uh next season or this season?

SPEAKER_00

2027.

SPEAKER_01

2027. So I think they're they need to build up some of their some of these uh smaller market teams to like get some of the renown respect on them, even if they are a crummy team. Not necessarily everybody watches every single game unless you're a football junkie, because sometimes I if it's not my team, I will watch casually or I'll be like, oh yeah, I really want to watch this game.

SPEAKER_00

Only I can't ward, you know, uh yeah, two first rounders this year. I mean, I know it's my it's just pissed because it's my team, but Cornell Tate, you know. It's just irritating. I mean, good thing I have the ticket, but not everybody else has the ticket to watch their teams like the Jets or the Vegas, Arizona, and Miami. Uh but it it when I saw that, I was pissed.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that you mentioned Vegas. I'm really surprised that they didn't get any prime time. Yeah, especially debuting. Mendoza. Mendoza. And then it's just like they got one of the best tight ends in the league. They got probably one of the youngest, I wouldn't say the best running one of the best running backs, but like has a potential to be a good running back in Astra Gente in year two, and then just kind of some of all these. But yeah, that's just I thought that was kind of nuts that the Vegas Raiders didn't have any, um, given that they got probably one of the most uh sought-after quarterback prospects, and it's just like okay, you're not gonna give him the air time to kind of watch these, or you're you're forcing everybody to kind of buy into a subscription of the NFL ticket or go to a sports bar to watch your team. Which that's that's pretty crummy.

SPEAKER_00

And the Rams, they I mean, the Rams. They have seven games, their prime time. Bills, Chiefs, Seahawks, Green Bay have six games. They're prime time. Cowboys, Eagles, Bears, Patriots, Niners have five. I mean, Bears, why? Even last year. I mean, yeah, Bears, they did good last year. I can see why this year. But last year they they had some because everyone wanted to see what Williams can do.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, between Williams and having uh excuse me, having Ben Johnson as a first-year head coach. I think they wanted to see that.

SPEAKER_00

But I can see why the Rams, because they have the Niners, you know, they have high stakes matchups. Yeah. So yeah, they play the Niners, they play them twice. Y'all play the Bills, you guys play the Chiefs this year, yeah. In a Christmas game against the Seahawks. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So I can get that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I feel like for uh going to my team, I felt like yeah, we got seven primetime games, and it's just like all of them are uh, like you said, high stakes uh kind of playoff kind of atmosphere of football, especially against the rivals of the Niners and the Seahawks. Uh the Niners going going up against the Niners in Australia, and then uh going against Seahawks on Christmas Day uh in Seattle. So that's gonna be those are gonna be interesting matchups, and then we got the first ever Thanksgiving Eve uh matchup too against the Green Bay Packers. I'm I'm just thinking of last year when the Chiefs had uh I think about seven primetime games. I'm like, oh boy, I just hope our season doesn't turn out like that to where it's like uh we get all these primetime games and it's just like down the tubes. Um but looking at my looking at my Rams schedule, um I think one of the matchups that stick out to me is Buffalo, just because the last time we faced Josh Allen and the Bills is uh I was a shootout, and I think a lot of people thought the Bills were gonna go into SoFi that day and uh kick the tar out of the Rams, but the dog but the Rams like came out swinging and ended up getting the getting the W and just kind of keeping on a heater, and it was just I think that's gonna be an exciting matchup to see Josh Allen and uh Stafford duel between the the new guard against the old guard, but that's gonna be a fun matchup, I think. Um one I'm looking forward to. Then our uh I think the primetime one I'm looking forward to is the rematch of Seattle going back to Seattle after losing the NFC title game and then losing that uh Thursday night game to them, going into their house on Christmas Day and hopefully giving them a lump of coal uh in that matchup.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and I'm just glad we get to play some NFC South teams. Mm-hmm. You get to play Washington and Dallas.

SPEAKER_01

I was about to say NFC South will be an interesting division to watch this year just because that division's always up for grabs and uh Carolina coming off of a playoff berth last year and seeing if they can carry the momentum that they did last year.

SPEAKER_00

I was just saying I never say I never say it, but I'm gonna go ahead and say Dallas wins it this year.

SPEAKER_01

Are you saying Dallas is gonna win the whole thing this year? No, I mean their division. Oh. Not the whole thing. Oh, okay. I was about to say I didn't know what to do. No, that'd be too. Let's not get crazy. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I was about to say the they're gonna be the AOC South and the NSC. They're gonna be the the very bottom. He playing like Houston, you know, Houston barely getting in.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I was about to say, I'm looking at the Dallas schedule right now, and uh they got some tough matchups. They got Baltimore, they got Philly twice, they got the Giants twice, they got the Rams, the Jags, the Colts. Yeah, I don't know if they haven't necessarily the easiest schedule, but they have some playoff caliber teams in that in that division.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And I'll I think that division will be interesting to watch as well. But um segue into um what is your favorite uh what is your favorite Monday night matchup just to start our work week? It's usually the last game of the week, but let's start with that one.

SPEAKER_00

Uh before we start on that, I just want I got one more thing to say about the primetime game situation. Let it rip. So the five NFL teams to me that deserve fewer primetime games, and I need to you can like verify me on the schedules while I'm saying this. Okay, Atlanta. Do they have a lot of primetime games?

SPEAKER_01

They got Thursday night game.

SPEAKER_00

Uh I think they have a Germany game. Do they not write out last year?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, they got the they got the Germany game, uh, which that's do we want to count those as prime time, though? If you got NFL. Yeah. Well If you don't have that, I mean I'm talking about like it looks like NFL's doing them this year. So they're gonna be.

SPEAKER_00

If you're in the Kansas primary if you're in the Kansas area, that's what it is.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Antenna people primetime games. Uh Atlanta does they need fewer games. They should have been on this list. Miami, they're already on the list. That's fine. Yeah. Washington should have been on this list this year, I think.

SPEAKER_01

I think a lot of people are fans of J Daniels, and I think that's probably why they were like, he's gonna rebound. But I'm just like, you got rid of his OC, and he's with us now as an assistant head coach.

SPEAKER_00

Um Arizona Cardinals is on the list. I mean, Jets, yeah, they're already on the list. So the only thing that really, I guess Atlanta, they should not have any. They didn't prove anything, I think, last year.

SPEAKER_01

No, they're they finished seven and nine. They went on a hot streak because Kirk Cousins got them on a hot streak.

SPEAKER_00

But I would say maybe dial down New England's a little bit. Yeah. Because I know they have some prime time, a lot I don't know if a lot.

SPEAKER_01

They opened up the season against Seattle, so yeah, Seattle.

SPEAKER_00

I think. Um Chicago Bears. I already said that. They have a lot of primetime games. Jacksonville. Don't know why the frick Jacksonville has that many games. I don't give a dang. You saw how they lost.

SPEAKER_01

Uh it's because Trevor Lawrence uh lost it for him.

SPEAKER_00

To the I mean, I'm just saying AFC South is not that good. And yeah, they're just if if we didn't have the rule in the NFL that you win your division automatically, and AFC South would never get in, hardly. I'm just saying that about my division.

SPEAKER_01

I was about to say it's it's an incentive to win that division. You get to at least host a playoff game, which Jacksonville did against Buffalo. Carolina, why? They they were running off momentum from last time.

SPEAKER_00

I don't whoopy. We went to AFC Championship and were first in division like a year later, and still didn't get a lot in primetime games. And the Saints. I don't even know who plays for the Saints anymore.

SPEAKER_01

Uh yeah, that's that's a true one, too.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, is Drew Bree still on there?

SPEAKER_01

No. Probably.

SPEAKER_00

That's how far away I you know. I know he retired people. Everybody's gonna be like, Tyler Don't know who's sports. I know he retired. I'm just saying, y'all get what I'm saying. Who plays for the Saints anymore? I don't even know who the coach is anymore.

SPEAKER_01

It's Colin Moore. Just to let you know.

SPEAKER_00

Uh, well. Stupid. They haven't been good since Breeze and uh Sean Payton. Sean Payton, uh, who's um Kamara's still there. Well, yeah, Kamara, he's the only one last one, he's like the last man standing for that era. Because who's that receiver that was always hurt?

SPEAKER_01

Michael Thomas. Thomas, yeah. Got paid and started and wasn't wasn't as good. I give I'd like to get paid millions just to say twisting my toe. But okay, we can move on.

SPEAKER_00

What was your question?

SPEAKER_01

But um I was gonna say we're gonna start with the Monday night matchups of uh which one are you looking forward to watching?

SPEAKER_00

Well, since I'm forced to watch somebody else play, let's see. Monday nights, uh let's see, I like Monday night football. Um I know week 18.

SPEAKER_01

I know like and ESPN hosts the Super Bowl this year.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I know like uh week 18 they have a TBD on there, I think.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I think it's closer to the playoffs, they always have a T B D. Yeah, it's week 18. Um it looks like they're gonna do two doubleheaders on week 16 and week 18.

SPEAKER_02

Uh huh.

SPEAKER_01

Possibly. Oh yeah. It kind of looks like it in this in I see two week 18 teams. Two week eighteen games. I see two week sixteen games as well. Um, but I don't know if that's they're slating it to be double headers. I for some reason I thought they got rid of that, but they might just be trying to.

SPEAKER_00

I'm a different schedule anyway. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But um Monday night, let's see. Oh, my bad, my bad. I was looking at uh NFL Network games. Oh. Yeah, those are the two week 16s.

SPEAKER_00

I would say probably I don't want to say that game. Seattle, we don't know what they're gonna be like this year. I mean, I know they're still their same quarterback. Really? The Bills and Rams. That should be a good game. It's in LA too. Yeah. Uh that should be a fun one.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

If not that one, man, I just saw the Falcons and the Saints.

SPEAKER_01

That's a waste of a Monday night game. Golly. You could at least put the you could at least put the Titans in the and who's this who's the other worst team in your division? Texas? She would put anybody in our division.

SPEAKER_00

Jacksonville? If you want to put Jacksonville on there, throw it in there. Uh but yeah, I would say Bills and Rams, and then uh, you know, the division games are always cool. So probably Dallas and Philly.

SPEAKER_01

Dallas and Philly. They're they're usually pretty entertaining as well. Uh if we get anything like their last year's matchups where Dallas had a chance to win in week one against Philly, and uh CeeDee Lamb dropped a pass that would have probably won the game. Uh then Dallas snatching it at the end of last not at the end of last season, but towards Thanksgiving uh coming back from 21 down and winning.

SPEAKER_00

I just saw Giants and Lions. That might be interesting too.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I'm interested to see what Harbaugh does with the Giants. I think that's why they're getting a lot of exposure, just because they got a young quarterback that they're excited about with Jackson.

SPEAKER_00

And I like Dart. I like Dart and Scadaboo.

SPEAKER_01

He should be back. Yeah, I it'll be interesting to see what that New York team does. Um I think one about you. I think one that sticks out to me. Um I would have to say possibly, depending who the sort starting quarterback is, I thought their matchup uh was an instant classic when they went up against each other last time. Buffalo and Minnesota. I think uh depending on depending on the quarterback. I think if Kyler Murray it's gotta be between McCarthy and Kyler Murray. I think if Kyler Murray plays, I think it's gonna be kind of a like it's gonna be uh from the air game where they're gonna be scoring points and Justin Jefferson. Yeah, I would think I think that what's gonna that one has a potential to be kind of a high scoring one, depending on how uh the quarterback plays for Minnesota, but Josh Allen's always entertaining to watch, and I just remember when the Vikings played the Bills the last time and went into overtime and Vikings pulled it out, and Justin Jefferson pulling the ball from uh the defender's hand with one hand. Uh then I'd be interested to see how I would say the Chicago and Seattle game the week before be interesting. Just I'm interested to see how Seattle does. I don't think they're gonna be as good as they were last year, where um they lost their OC, they lost a couple defensive uh players to um free agency, and then they lost their running back to the Chiefs. It's so it's gonna be interesting to see how they play, and then the storyline of is Chicago gonna ascend higher this year than they did last year, or are they gonna take a step back? So it'll be interesting to see what they're gonna be doing.

SPEAKER_00

So it's gonna be uh Chargers in Baltimore might be good, too. Which one? Chargers in Baltimore.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, uh yeah, because uh Jesse Minter for the Ravens used to be their uh I think he used to be their DC, so he's um now the head coach for the now he's the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens.

SPEAKER_00

Well if the Chargers can get pulled together, they might be doing something with that division. I know last year I thought it was gonna happen.

SPEAKER_01

Well, they chargered out they chargered or charged out or something like that. I don't know what they're saying is when they crap out.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

They lost power. They lost power, yeah. Then we'll uh pivot to uh the Thursday night games. The kickoff uh new weeks. Um I'll start. Uh the Thursday night game that sticks out to me is gonna be I would have to say the I would have to say the opener with the uh with the Lions and the Bills opening Thursday night on Amazon. I know they're not the first Thursday night game, but the second Thursday night. Yeah. I think it's gonna be interesting to see how Uh Detroit goes with making their adjustments of like hiring a new OC, being healthy on the defensive side, but they also lost defensive players. So it's gonna be interesting to see how they bounce back and then Buffalo. They're always have Super Bowl aspirations and seeing how um what Josh Allen can do this year and see with uh new head coach Joe Brady, see if it's some some of the same or just new. And they're opening up that new stadium too that week. So what that's gonna look like. Then uh I'm just gonna say it. I I think uh the Chiefs and the Rams it should be a good one.

SPEAKER_00

Well, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I think that one's gonna be a good one on Mahomes.

SPEAKER_00

Should be back by then.

SPEAKER_01

They're thinking that he's gonna be back by the beginning of the season. They're saying that he's ahead of casual, but we'll see. I think he'll lose next week one. Yeah. I was about to say, but what what games of the Thursday night slate stick out to you?

SPEAKER_00

I tell you what sticks out is crappy teens.

SPEAKER_01

That we could have been in there. I was about to say some of these games are a little are a little uh not the best slate. I'm looking at one right now, Steelers and the Browns. That one. It's just like besides Miles Garrett, who who's the Browns?

SPEAKER_00

I get that's a division game.

SPEAKER_01

I know they got a a good running back in Judkins, but it's just like in Steelers, it's Aaron Rodgers.

SPEAKER_00

Is he even I can't remember? I think did they hear something from him this week?

SPEAKER_01

I think they're saying that they're he wants more money, I think. Yeah, I think he said that he wants to go back, but he wants more money.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, yeah, go go find a retirement home. But uh Okay. Green Bay and F Falcons, what the heck? Who's I mean Green Bay's gonna wipe the floor. Anyway, Buccaneers and Cowboys should be a good one.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, if Baker seeing how Baker comes off that injury and yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Uh let's see. Freaking Texans and Eagles. What the heck? It's like it's a Christmas Eve game, because I'm busy Christmas Eve. But probably Vikings and Patriots.

SPEAKER_01

That could be an interesting one.

SPEAKER_00

That's that's the two that stick out to me. Usually Thursday night football don't really have a lot of good games, but I see I say Vikings, Patriots, and then Cowboys and the Buccaneers. I'm surprised Niners only have one Thursday night game.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, they're going to be.

SPEAKER_00

And the Rams do too.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Well, uh yeah. I was about to say, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Because usually they they've been throwing the Niners in LA, Rams, and a lot of Thursday night games every year.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I was about to say last year was a good one when overtime and was up super late.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But I was about to say Niners are gonna probably fill that stadium because it's in LA. Oh yeah. Yeah, they'll fill that one. I don't know. Chargers have a lot of fans too, don't they? Not necessarily. They gotta have androids fill their stadium.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah, I remember that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I was about to say one other one that sticks out to me is Seattle and Denver. A good a good matchup between their defenses. And that's the Super Bowl that should have happened, I guess. Yeah, and see what would have happened if the Broncos were in the Super Bowl. I think Bob Nix would have probably done done his thing.

SPEAKER_00

Uh I like the Bears and the Lions Thanksgiving. Yeah, that's I like that they had divisional games in there, except for the Chiefs and Bills, of course.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and then the Thanksgiving Eve. Well, I was about to say the Thanksgiving Eve game is the Packers and the Rams, and that's not necessarily a rivalry, but still, it's the first game of its kind. But the Chiefs and the Bills is a rivalry.

SPEAKER_00

They've been a rivalry every I mean like divisional, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, like a divisional opponent.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But everybody's gonna be like filling up the pumpkin pie and getting in front of the TV and probably watching this game. I think they I think they knocked it out of the park on the Thanksgiving games. Like each one is very interesting.

SPEAKER_00

And yeah, I can see usually around that that first game I'm making my plate and watching it. I usually finish that one. Second one. It's dessert time. I might fall asleep. We might change it up. I might fall asleep on the Chiefs and Bills game. Yeah. So you're you fall asleep before the game. Gotta work the next day.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I was about to say, I think it's gonna be uh I think it's gonna be a fun Thanksgiving. I just think it's just one of those things that's a staple in like Thanksgiving as a holiday is uh you get together with family and then you have the football game in the background and if you're on fantasy, you're seeing if you have any players in these matchups. And but uh the one I'd look forward to is probably the Bears and the Lions. I was about to say for Thursday night for the Thanksgiving. Oh Thanksgiving. Yeah, yeah, that'd be a good one. I think the Thanksgiving games are gonna be pretty fun. I was about to say all these games that they set up, it's it's gonna be interesting just because it's like health has to bounce the way too, and like how these play how these teams are playing as well. It's just like it's kind of like a big what if. And it's like it's gonna be fun. Um with Thanksgiving out of the way on those Thursday night games, um the Sunday night games. What uh what matchups are gonna be fun to watch?

SPEAKER_00

Well, noticing on the Sunday night games that I'm looking at so far, all these teams deserve to be on Sunday night football. Except for the Jaguars. I see that in there now.

SPEAKER_01

Man, you have it out for the city of Duval. I'm just tired.

SPEAKER_00

I mean you got Trevor Morris. I mean, I calm down. I gotta take my blood pressure mess in the night. But uh I would say the week one matchup, because that they're gonna come out swinging, I think, for Dallas and New York. Uh the Giants, not the Jets. If I saw the Jets in here, I'd really be like, what the But they got no games either. But um I would say them and I want to say Vikings and San Fran, but the Vikings quarterback situation is would be iffy. I know sh by then they should have a quarterback decision. I really think it's gonna be Kyle Murray starting. I really do.

SPEAKER_01

I think it is too, and that don't think that's a bad thing for JJ to sit another year.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. But uh and well dang. I see Panthers are in here now and Falcons. But uh, I say the first week, Giants and Cowboys, and then Vikings and Niners, just because those teams always seem to battle it out. That one's in Mexico City, too. Yeah. Um but yeah, I'll go with those.

SPEAKER_01

Buccaneers and Bears might be my third. Okay. I'm gonna say Philadelphia and the Niners will be a good game. Those ones are always that that rivalry just has now formed itself after the NFC title game where Brock Purdy heard his UCL, and then Brock Purdy came back the next season and they went to Philly and kicked the living crap out of them. And then uh last year's wild card insanity, where the Niners had no business winning the game because their defense was a bunch of fourth and fifth stringers, and then like playing some trickery, uh, but beating Philly uh to end Philly's run and term start the turmoil for the offseason. Um but that that that bro that matchup is gonna be pretty fun to watch, especially with them both hoping to have playoff contention on the brain. Um I will say I would say week seven could be interesting as well, um, between the Chiefs and the Seahawks. Uh just having Kenneth Walker come back to Seattle to be like maybe having the revenge game of yeah, you guys dealt me, I'm still in the prime of my life and running all over you. Okay and kind of seeing what they can do against uh the Seattle team. It'll be an interesting game.

SPEAKER_00

Well, this guy tells you that they put the schedule together after the draft, you know?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, they have the I bet they have like a lot of like drafts of the schedule, and they're just like, okay, let's see how free agency plays, let's see how the draft plays, and uh go from there. Um I feel like I'm mentioning my team too much, but I think it's gonna be a good game. Good offense against good defense. Uh the Broncos and the Rams on that week three slate. But yeah, I think that's gonna be that's gonna be a fun one too.

SPEAKER_00

Dallas and Green Bay, yeah, that'll probably be a good one.

SPEAKER_01

I didn't pick Dallas and Green Bay, I picked Denver and LA. I know, but Dallas and Green Bay should be a good thing. Dallas and Green Bay is usually pretty good too. In Green Bay as well. Micah Parsons gotta get his revenge. Didn't they play last year too against each other? I think they played against each other last year, and um I think Micah Parsons uh didn't do oh, they ended in a tie. Oh yeah, that's right. They ended in a tie. I forgot about that. But the Green Bay Packers looked sloppy during that game, and so the and so did the Cowboys. But it'll be interesting to see how that plays out, especially with Parsons coming back and coming off that knee injury, which I hear that he's still recovering from. It's taking a little bit to rehab.

SPEAKER_00

Alright, that was Sunday night.

SPEAKER_01

What we got Christmas? We got the Christmas schedule. We got the the Packers against Chicago, which was an instant classic uh right around Christmas time last year, where the Iceman Caleb Williams uh threw a Hail Mary to DJ Moore uh to win the game in overtime.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And then uh the old matchup between Buffalo and Denver, which last year's uh divisional that sparked some controversy of uh wasn't a catcher, did he get stripped? Yeah. And then the rematch of uh what everybody called the Super Bowl of uh the Rams and the Seahawks. An excellent Christmas Day uh slate.

SPEAKER_00

So one o'clock is Green Bay in Chicago, 4 30, Buffalo, Denver, and then 8 15 Rams and Seahawks. Yeah. And I think Christmas Day is on a Friday this year.

SPEAKER_01

I think so. Or a Saturday. Is it a Saturday? I was about to say.

SPEAKER_00

No, you're right.

SPEAKER_01

Christmas Day is on a Friday. Yeah. Dang. I think I'm off Saturday. We should be able to watch them all then because you're off Saturday. I think I'm off Saturday because of uh floating halt. I don't know, but that's gonna be fun too.

SPEAKER_00

I can't use the going to bed early excuse on that one.

SPEAKER_01

I was about to say, uh, which one of those three matchups would you be looking forward to watching?

SPEAKER_00

I want to say, uh they're all good. But the only thing I I will okay, I'll just tell you my least. Um Brian Rams and Seahawks, the reason why I say that is because the Seahawks, I feel like they're they've gone from a grade A to a grade B since they lost their running back. And they're all they've lost a they lost they lost a lot of people.

SPEAKER_01

And they lost their OC too.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. So that's why I say that. Because they took away, I mean, they still have what Chardonnay is that his name is?

SPEAKER_01

Charbonnet. Charbonnet. And then they got the the running back from Notre Dame that uh backed up Jeremiah Lowe.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he's good too. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But uh if you take away that from uh I always draw a blink on that quarterback now. Sam Darnold. Sam Darnold, don't know why I draw a blink. If you take that away from him, he can't be, he's not that good. I mean, yeah, he gets a couple lucky throws. That's just because mistakes on defense, so but that's why I say that's probably the least. I mean I'm going for him just because it's your team. But Green Bay and Bears, I like.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I would say I like to see the I like to see these m rematches because like I forgot Chicago and Green Bay played three times last year and and once in the playoffs. So it's it's a renewed rivalry. So I'm in I'm looking forward to the Green Bay and Chicago game. Uh didn't Rams and Seahawks play three times too? Yep. NFC title game and then in the season. Ugh. Yeah, because that but and then yeah, these are all kind of uh playoff rematches from this past season. So they did a good job of uh picking the teams this year. I've I'll give them that.

SPEAKER_00

So let's see, we got international games.

SPEAKER_01

Four, five, six.

SPEAKER_00

We got let's see, we got one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.

SPEAKER_01

We got nine this year. Yep. They they've been extending the international slate, which I think we kind of touched on, and um don't necessarily like them just because they're at different time, and then also it takes away a home game for one of the teams, and then both teams are out traveling as well.

SPEAKER_00

I was cool with it when it was just London. Yeah. I mean, one or two games a season, that was alright, but now it's getting out of hand. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But say you got the Jags that are basically by proxy the the London team, because they got calling them the London Jaguars. Yeah. They're uh they play back-to-back weeks against uh the Eagles and the Texans. Uh Sam Duran is the other team that has to travel the most. And I feel like the whole season they're having the travel, and I think it's kind of one of those things that they're like it's about nutrition for them. Um, but they got Australia to open up the season, and then like the last international game in Mexico City, which is a little bit closer to home. Uh, but yeah, hopefully that feels good. Hopefully that feels good. Hopefully that feels good. I'm hoping they look at it before they play just so players don't get injured for no reason.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And 49ers don't need that.

SPEAKER_00

No. Well, maybe all these away games will you know, take down the injuries so they don't have to play in that electric magnetic field or whatever they want it. That's whatever it's called.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. They have a m electromagnetic field on their training facility.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But yeah, got the first ever France game uh between the Steelers and the Saints, which I'm just like okay. Which I'm kind of in the same boat. I was just like, I I didn't mind them playing like once or twice in London, but now it's just like, okay, why are we doing these international games? I know a lot of international fans watch football, but it's just like at the same time, it's taking away home games from season ticket holders and um just having to get up a little bit earlier. In the case of the Rams and the Niners game on to be in Australia, it might it's gonna start on time, but it's just a little bit later, I guess, depending what side of the world you're on. Alright, what's next, segment? Okay, so you posted a list on uh our our page, and uh it's just from another page, uh Facebook. Facebook uh bus.

SPEAKER_00

And the And it's the bus from the biggest dynasty bus. So it's not like number one picks or anything like that. It's any pick anywhere. Yeah. And they're the the bus from the top 12 team, top 12 bus of these teams.

SPEAKER_01

But I was about to say, I think the I think the one that caught everybody's attention, I'm just gonna say, is the was the Jalen Hurts bust. That he was on that list. That he was on that list, and it's just it's one of those things that was like he's a Super Bowl winning quarterback and has a Super Bowl MVP. Um how can he be a bust on this list that the likes of like Trey Lance and uh Justin Fields and Anthony Richardson and Zach Wilson is just one of those things that is a list that we're like and then Matthew Golden being on there after being a a rookie as well.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Well, let's see, for my set on there. I mean Hertz, yes, MVP Super Bowl winner. He's checking on the boxes, but it really I guess he did do that good in the Super Bowl. He you can check me in and I have to.

SPEAKER_01

I was gonna say he did well in both Super Bowl appearances. He was even considered for a Super Bowl MVP on a losing team, which they're like he outplayed Mahomes as just breaks in the the defense.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I would say on that list if people haven't seen this list, I'm just gonna name it off. Trey Lance, C. Edwards Hilaire, Anthony Richardson, Zach Wilson, Jalen Hurts, Traylon Burks, Kadarius Toney, Justin Fields, Tua, Tua, Henry Ruggs, the third, Jahan Dotson, and Matthew Golden. On that list, I think I don't think Edwards Alaire should be on there. He did alright.

SPEAKER_01

Uh he only had one I feel like he only had one great season and then he kind of fell off a cliff and then Well it's not to diss on the Chiefs, but they're not very good with their running backs.

SPEAKER_00

They don't I they use them and then like okay, it's not they just don't use them very well. They're not consistent with them. Anthony Richardson, yes. He's one he's one that started money right now. Yeah. Uh Zach Wilson, I agree. Jalen Hurts, I don't agree with. Traylon Burst, definitely. Yeah. Could have been good. Not worth the uh AJ Brown trade.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Gaders Tony. I can't even remember him.

SPEAKER_01

I was about to say he was a res he was a receiver for the Giants, and then he got traded to the the Chiefs, and he got the flipped the field for them at during that Philadelphia uh and Kansas City Super Bowl, and he won a Super Bowl.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I think he got two rings because uh he was on the Chiefs the following year. But he's not on a team right now, so um Justin Fields star with the Bears. Currently with the Chiefs now.

SPEAKER_00

So he's with the Chiefs now, so that He probably start before he might start game one. Uh Tua. He's not with Miami anymore. I don't think he's with him, but yeah. He's with Atlanta. Yeah, he's Atlanta now. Henry Ruggs.

SPEAKER_01

He he was involved in uh an incident off the field where he ran over somebody and that's right. But he wa he shouldn't have been good if he didn't have off the field. He showed promise and just with that ended his career unbacked. And then Jahad Dotson, he I think he's still with the Eagles. He won a Super Bowl with them when he got traded to them the year that they won. And Matthew Golden, I think that's too early to tell. And I feel like with them getting with Romeo Dobbs going to a different going to the Patriots and then kind of opening up that receiver room that he's gonna actually get a chance to shine. Because he he was a good uh receiver for Texas uh during their uh college playoff. So I think there's a lot of uh I think there's a lot of positive going towards his way. I don't think you can deem him a bust after year one. Um but I could say Trey Lance is probably the biggest sore thumb that stuck out where the Niners ironically got Mac and now they got Mac Jones on their team. I think that is the quarterback that they wanted, but um they went for Trey Lance just based on high potential of what he could be, even though he didn't start a whole lot in college, and now he's I think backup for the Chargers if he's still on a team. But I don't know, I think he's the biggest bust on there, and so is Zach Wilson, but Trey Lance, definitely. Yeah, it's just it's unfortunate, and then like Tua has a chance to kind of get a fresh start in Atlanta to kind of see if he can revitalize his career and uh maybe have a a resurgence and then another team takes a chance on him next year, or Atlanta's like, yeah, we'll we'll keep him.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. But well, do we have any more on the schedules today?

SPEAKER_01

Uh I think that is everything on the schedule. Um any final thoughts on how the schedule played this year? On team schedule or just the schedules all together? Schedules all together. Well, like I would say since we've been talking about like every game that's gonna be on kind of like a prime time slate, uh, do you feel like one night hit it out of the ballpark more than one of the other nights? Like out of Sunday night, Monday night, and Thursday night football.

SPEAKER_00

Um which uh night you're I think this I think the Sunday night games look better than all the others.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I would have to I I tend to agree with you that the Sunday night games have a little bit more uh have a little more flair to them, even though that the c the team of Chris Collinsworth is not uh very much liked when he speaks.

SPEAKER_00

Well, according to, you know, going by Chris Collinsworth on Sunday night football, because he's in outdoor Sunday night football. All 17 weeks in this schedule, all these teams, Patrick Mahomes plays for them.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Let's go with that. I was about to say he usually Nobody does it better than Mahomes. Yep, that's usually the quote. But I I would agree that Sunday night has the superior um slate of games. I think Thursday night was the least least to be desired. I feel like I feel like some of them were just like real head scratchers. It's like, okay. Is it Thursday or I felt like Thursday night had some head scratching game? Well that's usually, yeah, that's usually how it goes. Then Monday night was kind of the middle of the pack.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Sometimes you just see on there like Monday night used to go at the biggest night. And then I think Sunday night kind of maybe it's just because this year that looks better, but some of these Monday night games are like why? Yeah. I mean, and the reason why I say that is those why teams that are in there, yeah, it's because of division. Yeah. Rivals, that's why. Falcons, Saints. Yeah, that one is really glaring. Uh Panthers, Bucks, okay, I get that. But the Saints and Falcons won was burning a hole through my school.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And then kind of Houston and Green Bay. Houston and Green Bay would be one. But yeah, and I think uh yeah, I just think Monday night was kind of the middle of the pack this year. Yeah. But with uh all that said about the schedules, um thank you guys for uh tuning in tonight. I know tonight was a big night for whatever team you root for and kind of getting, like I said, getting it planned if you're gonna go watch a game in person. Um grateful for you guys uh tuning in.
